SAN DIEGO (June 13, 2019) – In its 10th year, the Equinox Project and its Quality of Life Dashboard transitioned from the Center for Sustainable Energy to The Nonprofit Institute, School of Leadership, at the University of San Diego (USD). The Quality of Life Dashboard, which was updated on June 12th, and serves as a unique shared point of reference across jurisdictions to track a set of specific indicators that bring together solutions for a healthy economy and clean environment for all. The Dashboard helps to educate regional citizens and serves as a tool for decision-makers. The Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC) at USD’s Law School has been an integral part of the Dashboard’s data analysis since its inception and contributed to this year's Dashboard. In particular, the EPIC team supported indicators related to climate change, electric vehicles, electricity use, renewable energy, energy storage, and traffic and congestion. EPIC also identified the state legal and regulatory trends that are leading to local action.
