17th Annual Real Estate Career Expo

17th Annual Real Estate Career Expo Students Interviewed by Employers

On Tuesday, April 9, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate held its 17th annual Real Estate Career Expo at the University of San Diego. The event attracts dozens of company representatives from the real estate industry to meet with University of San Diego School of Business real estate students students in a "speed-networking" format. Students partake in six-minute long informational interviews. This year, more than 50 company representatives and more than 60 graduate and undergraduate real estate students participated in the event.

Company representatives received a résumé book of student participants who attended the Expo and many students received call backs for follow-up interviews for open positions as a result of this event.

Following the last round of interviews, students had the opportunity to network with those companies they may not have had the opportunity to meet with or to spend additional time with.

Real estate associations, including ULI, NAIOP, CREW, CCIM and BIA also attended the event to showcase the benefits of student membership in these real estate organizations.
