SAN DIEGO (March 29, 2019) – Professor Lynne Dallas is retiring after more than thirty years at the University of San Diego (USD) School of Law.

An internationally recognized corporate governance and interdisciplinary scholar, Professor Dallas has taught a wide variety of business law courses at USD School of Law, including corporations, securities regulation, corporate finance, and antitrust as well as numerous seminars, such as law and socioeconomics, comparative corporate law and other business-related seminars.  Dallas is a founding and current member of the Women’s Corporate Law Professor Group and the executive committee of the Association of American Law Schools section on law and socioeconomics. USD has honored her teaching and scholarship as the Herzog Endowed Scholar (1999-00, 2008-09), University Professor (2002-03), and Class of 1975 Award Recipient (2014-15).

Professor Dallas practiced with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City as a securities, antitrust and corporate law litigator and corporate practitioner. She taught law at the University of Miami School of Law and American University Washington College of Law before joining the USD School of Law faculty in 1987. She has presented scholarly papers at numerous universities in the United States and abroad. "I have enjoyed and greatly value the many interactions I've had with students over the years and hope they are all doing well," said Professor Dallas reflecting on her experience at USD. “Lynne Dallas is an outstanding business law, renowned teacher and beloved colleague,” said Stephen C. Ferruolo, Dean of USD School of Law. “She will be sorely missed by her students and colleagues.”
