Giving Back Covers Leading Change Campaign Festivities

SAN DIEGO (October 23, 2018) – Leading Change: The Campaign for University of San Diego (USD) has come to a great end after eight years, exceeding the $300 million goal - with USD School of Law raising $31.5 million toward the University’s overall goal! A celebration of the most successful campaign in the history of USD took place at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice - Garden of the Sea, on September 14th, where guests joined faculty and students. Giving Back Magazine covered the festive atmosphere in their October 2018 issue.
The Campaign for USD focused on five critical areas: capital projects, scholarships, program & faculty support, and endowment. Campaign Chair David S. Casey Jr., ’74 (JD), Vice-Chair Virginia C. Nelson, ’79 (JD), Dean and Professor of Law Stephen C. Ferruolo, and Director of Development Debbie Rider, ’84 (JD), led the law school’s efforts.
Stephen P. Doyle, ’84 (JD), Michael B. Kaplan, ’72 (JD), John (Jack) R. McGrory, ’81 (JD), Paul E. Robinson, ’73 (JD), The Honorable Lynn A. Schenk, ’70 (JD), Ronson J. Shamoun, ’98 (BA), ’02 (JD), ’03 (LLM), and Vickie E. Turner, ’82 (JD) generously supported campaign efforts by serving on the law school’s executive committee.
