USD to Host 16th Annual Stockdale Lecture

Rear Admiral John N. Christenson is the speaker for the 16th Annual James Bond Stockdale Leadership and Ethics Symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the University of San Diego.

Admiral Christenson will discuss “Integrity during Inspections/Assessments.” Christenson is the 53rd president of the U.S. Naval War College in Rhode Island.

The purpose of the Stockdale Symposium is to help attendees understand some of the difficult moral and ethical issues facing military officers and other key leaders today. The late Admiral Stockdale, a Medal of Honor recipient, bore witness to the importance of studying, understanding and applying ethical principles to one’s profession and the conduct of one’s life.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception will take place at 3:30 p.m. in USD’s Sacred Heart Courtyard, followed by the lecture at 4:30 p.m. in the Shiley Theatre.
