This is your USD News Minute.

This Friday is the Fowler Business Concept Challenge where 16 teams from across campus will take the stage to pitch new business concepts to a live audience of local investors, industry leaders, students and alumni for the chance to win scholarships. Register using the link provided.

Celebrate the holidays while being sustainable! The Office of Sustainability is hosting a Holiday Fair on December 4 at Colachis Plaza from 12:15 to 2:15. More than 15 nonprofits will be on site to share actionable gift giving ideas to inspire you this holiday season.  

USD’s annual Christmas tree lighting is this Thursday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. on Paseo de Colachis. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and other refreshments, along with carolers and an interfaith blessing of the tree. 

And, don’t forget  another USD holiday tradition – Lessons and Carols – on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 in Founders Chapel. Blending scripture readings with songs performed by the talent in USD's Department of Music, Lessons and Carols will surely help prepare you for Christmas. Friends and family are invited and there is no need to register.
