This is your USD News Minute.

Congrats to Women’s Volleyball! Last week, they clinched the West Coast Conference Championship for the first time since 2022, securing a berth in the NCAA Tournament and improving their conference record to 15-0.

And, congrats to a successful season for the men’s soccer team — earning a four-peat as West Coast Conference champions and advancing to the NCAA Tournament Second Round for the second straight year.

Open Doors recently ranked USD as one of the top study-abroad universities in the country. USD earned its highest rate for study-abroad participation with nearly 90% of undergrads studying abroad, using data from 2023-2024. This Open Doors report is considered one of the most comprehensive sources for U.S. study abroad data. 

Mark your calendars for USD’s annual Christmas tree lighting on Thursday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. on Paseo de Colachis. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and other refreshments, along with carolers and an interfaith blessing of the tree.
