This is your USD News Minute.

Join The Center for Cultural Development for the Leal-Anzaldúa Fireside Chat on Thursday, November 20, from 4-6pm, featuring Associate Professor of Italian Studies, Brittany Asaro. Professor Asaro will talk about The San Diego Decameron Project, a large community-based storytelling initiative launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio’s Decameron.

Over the weekend, USD's Masters Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) students successfully partnered with the Linda Vista United Methodist Church to host the 2nd annual Community Health and Wellness Fair. MEPN students were able to gain hands-on experience while collaborating with community partners in Linda Vista. At the event, MEPN students provided health screenings and shared educational CPR techniques to the community.

And, let’s all cheer on our USD student athletes this week! Men's Basketball is coming off a confident win against Idaho on Tuesday and will play Grambling State University at the JCP at 6 p.m. They’ll also take on UC Riverside on Friday night. And, #1 in conference play, women’s volleyball will compete at home against Pepperdine on Thursday at 7 p.m. in their highly-anticipated rivalry match, also in the JCP.

As always, thanks for watching and we’ll see you next week.
