Have you done any research? If so, what type?

Yes, my research focuses on the implementation and sustainment of multiple evidenced-based practices (EBPs) for children and adolescent in community-based and school based settings in the USA and South Africa. I have also done research on social-emotional and prevention programs for elementary school-aged youth, especially those with ADHD, executive functioning deficits, and social adjustment difficulties. Details about my research can be found here.

What is a fun fact people will be surprised to know about you?

I know three languages and am working on learning more!

What are some of your hobbies?

Salsa, hiking, and hanging out with my mentee from the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, which I highly recommend.

Do you have any advice for your students?

Take time to try things out so you find out what kind of work you like. Life is not a race or about prestige. Life is about figuring out what you enjoy and where you want to be. Don't be shy about asking questions to figure out what you want to do or to find a mentor. You can do it! =)

What do you enjoy most about USD?

The very beautiful campus and friendly staff and students.
