The William Lowell Putnam Examination

The William Lowell Putnam Examination will be offered on Saturday, December 7, 2019. The competition is free and open to all undergraduates in the United States and Canada, regardless of major. The competition consists of two periods of exactly three hours each (8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.) with a two hour (free lunch) break between the two sessions. All contestants must not have received a college degree prior to the date of the examination and must not have participated more than three times in the past.
