Image says welcome MSRE Cohort 17

The Real Estate Department and the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate (BMC) at the University of San Diego School of Business welcome the 17th cohort of the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) program. The incoming cohort consists of 18 new students (12 full-time and six part-time) who join six returning part-time students for their second year of the program.

This diverse cohort brings an entrepreneurial spirit mixed with a variety of real estate industry experience in acquisitions, construction, development, brokerage and management, in addition to two veterans, two MBA/MSRE and two JD/MSRE dual degree students. The students have diverse undergraduate backgrounds, including communications, computer science, construction management, economics, environmental studies, legal studies, philosophy, public health, political science, and psychology. The BMC is thrilled with the diversity of this cohort.

On July 9, the BMC held a virtual reception to welcome the new MSRE cohort. Attendees also included returning students, MSRE alumni and real estate faculty.

The cohort attended their first course, MSRE 500 The Real Estate Process, in early August. This five-day, intensive course is designed to introduce new students to the MSRE program, the University, the real estate industry and the San Diego community. Students honed in on their financial analysis and modeling skills, and engaged with a number of industry panels and guest speakers.

The real estate faculty and BMC team look forward to supporting our graduate students as they build their futures in real estate.
