Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate Appoints Douglas (Doug) Arthur ’08 MSRE to its Policy Advisory Board

The Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate announced the appointment of Douglas (Doug) Arthur ’08 MSRE  as the newest member of its policy advisory board (PAB). The PAB provides policy guidance and financial support to the BMC and real estate students at the University of San Diego School of Business. With this new appointment, the BMC's PAB is comprised of 53 members, including six emeritus members. 

“I am very pleased to have Doug join our policy advisory board,” says Stath Karras, executive director of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate. “He is one of the industry’s thought leaders and is very involved in the San Diego community.  Doug was an early graduate of the Master of Science in Real Estate program at USD, so it is very special to add another USD alumnus to our PAB.”

About Doug Arthur
Douglas (Doug) Arthur is president and CEO of SENTRE. He leads the company’s full-service investment and development platform, sets the strategic vision for SENTRE and is active in the firm’s investments, development, joint ventures, capital markets activities and operations. Prior to this role, Doug founded SENTRE Living, a multi-family platform, focusing on acquiring and developing apartment communities throughout the Western United States.

Doug graduated from Harvard Business School’s OPM Executive Education program and received a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara. where he was the two-time captain of their Division I water polo team.

Doug is a licensed real estate broker in California and holds Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) designations. Doug is active in the community. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a board member of Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation, a former San Diego Chapter board member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) and is an active member in the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Doug is active in the community and has raised over $675,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Voices for Children on behalf of the annual Nikki St. Germain Memorial Golf Tournament. Doug and his wife, Remley, have four children.
