Zabrina Johal '10 MBA, '14 MSRE

In a recent Veteran's Day blog published by the Nuclear Energy Institute, University of San Diego alumna Zabrina Johal '10 MBA, '14 MSRE discussed how her experiences in the U.S. Navy prepared her to become a leader in the nuclear industry.

Zabrina served as a nuclear engineering officer from 2000-2006 prior to joining General Atomics in San Diego, where she is currently director of business development. Zabrina specializes in the development and commercialization of safe, sustainable and economical solutions across an array of key energy technologies for military and commercial markets.

We recently asked Zabrina how she incorporates her MSRE degree in her current role: "The MSRE degree offers economic valuation training that has applicability in many areas," says Zabrina. "Whether evaluating a new technology, building or project, the same valuation techniques can be implemented to arrive at the best valuation for capital and resources invested."
