2018 16th Annual Real Estate Career Expo

On April 10, 2018, the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate hosted its 16th Annual Real Estate Career Expo on the University of San Diego campus. The event was held speed-networking style and connects School of Business real estate students with leaders in the real estate industry for mentorships, internships and jobs.

“It was such an amazing experience,” says Andrew Nixon ’19. “I can honestly say it was one of the best events I have attended as a student at USD.”

This year, more than 75 real estate students and 58 employers from the real estate industry attended the event. Students met with employers for six-minute long informational interviews.

“The Real Estate Career Expo was very informative and the company list was beyond my expectations,” says Marvin Wong ’20 MBA/MSRE. “Real estate is a very complex industry and the companies which attended the event represented the vast areas of real estate. From an international perspective, it was also a good experience since many were willing to offer positions to international students.”

Following the last round of interviews, students had the opportunity to network with companies they may not have had the opportunity to meet with or to spend additional time with. Company representatives received a résumé book of student participants who attended the Expo.
