Collaborate LLC

Civic engagement that leads to a participatory democracy.

Who is a collaborator? A collaborator pursues and values partnerships. We get out in the community and learn from one another, activating communication and participation in both our local and global communities. Join us – be a collaborator.

Please note the following housing information on these pages reflects our past practices and we are in the process of determining any possible changes due to COVID-19. We will provide updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Collaborate students will be housed in Maher Hall, additionally all first-year commuter students will be part of this theme! This residence hall is located on main campus, where residents can appreciate a short walk to class. Aromas Café is located on the first floor of the building, giving students easy access to a wide range of snacks, meals, and specialty coffees and teas. Copley Library is also just a stone’s throw away from Maher Hall. Please note that Maher Hall has single/double (limited), triple and quadruple rooms. Each room contains a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, which is shared among the residents of that room (single rooms have a private bathroom, double rooms share the bathroom with those two students, etc.)

Begin quote I believe the Collaborate LLC to be a safe space for people to come together for a purpose greater than themselves. In our modern global society, people succeed and discover their greatest strengths when helping others succeed. As a Changemaker campus, students can put words into action with a group of like-minded individuals who seek connecting meaningfully with others and celebrating differences and diverse backgrounds. We are building a community willing to create a better future, one step at a time! – Allison Lu, Facilitating Scholastic Assistant for Collaborate

Begin quote To collaborate means to build together. Almost everything that we do is in collaboration with others, whether that be at school, in clubs, on teams or even just with friends. We each bring such unique and special talents and perspectives to each situation that we can help to grow something by all working together and working with what surrounds us. We at USD are Changemakers and we are able to create this change because of the culture of collaboration. – Christina Kozlovsky, Coaching Residential Assistant for Collaborate
