El Día de la Constitución, or Mexican Constitution Day, is celebrated annually on February 5 to commemorate the present constitution, adopted in 1917. School of Law Professor Jorge A. Vargas will honor us with the first of what is planned to be an annual address on Mexican constitutional law.
In "Does Mexico Need a New Constitution?" Vargas will highlight the arguments for and against changing Mexico’s constitution — a topic vital to both Mexico and to us in the United States – as we live together as neighbors and friends, and work together as partners in business, law, and government. Delicious Mexican food will be served.
