The Loving Story is a 2012 documentary about Richard and Mildred Loving, parties to the landmark 1967 Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia, which legalized interracial marriage.

The film screening is part of Law Day 2017. This year's theme is on the 14th Amendment, which advanced the rights of all Americans through the Citizenship, Due Process, and Equal Protection clauses.

Professor Bryan H. Wildenthal will lead off the event with an explanation of the laws in effect at the time and how this case forever changed American law and society.
