Angela Medrano

Professional Experience

Professor Medrano, the owner of the Law Office of Angela Medrano, practices civil, tribal, and federal Indian law. In addition, she serves as a judge on the Intertribal Court of Southern California, which provides court services to member tribes. She also serves as a judge on the Tribal Youth Court, which is a diversionary program serving at-risk native youth using restorative justice concepts and trauma-informed approach. Professor Medrano has previously served as a TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) Coordinator for the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians, as a staff attorney for California Indian Legal Services, and as the Lead Gaming Commissioner for the Cahuilla Band of Indians.

Professor Medrano is a member of the San Diego Country Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, and the Native American Lawyers Association of San Diego County.
