Professional Experience

After law school, Blankenheimer clerked for the Honorable Irving L. Goldberg, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Covington & Burling LLP and has substantial experience litigating patent cases, other intellectual property matters, and antitrust disputes for the semiconductor, computer hardware and software industries.

Honors and Affiliations

Blankenheimer served as articles editor of the University of Chicago Law Review and graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif. He was recognized for his expertise in intellectual property by Best Lawyers in America, 2014-2016, and by San Diego Super Lawyers, 2012-2015.
