Professor Fell teaches Advanced Trial Advocacy.
Professional Experience
Professor Fell has handled a wide range of matters including sexual harassment defense arising in the employment context, defense of expert witnesses in civil rights violation litigation, the locally highly publicized La Jolla Children’s Pool case, an ineffective assistance of counsel matter which resulted in a widely-cited Ninth Circuit reported opinion, and numerous employment-related disputes. She is a regular guest speaker at employment law seminars on the topics of discrimination, sexual harassment and wage and hour compliance. She is the lead attorney and founder of Fell Law, PC, a firm that represents plaintiffs who have suffered catastrophic injuries or the death of a loved one. Notably in her career, Professor Fell is one of few female attorneys to receive a verdict of more than $100 million as lead trial counsel.
Honors and Affiliations
Professor Fell is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a membership that is extended only by invitation to lawyers who have demonstrated extensive trial experience, civility and professionalism. She gives back by serving as the program director for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Pacific Deposition Skills program and teaching trial skills through NITA around the country and in Northern Ireland. In 2013, USD School of Law recognized Professor Fell with a Rising Star Recent Alumni Award. In 2020, Professor Fell was honored with the “Trial Lawyer of the Year” award from Pepperdine Law School and was selected to be a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, the Daily Journal’s Top 100 Women Lawyers, and Super Lawyers.
