Professional Experience

Professor Richards is a trial and appellate attorney for Fish & Richardson, where he drafts appellate and district court briefs and argues before the Federal Circuit Court. His experience includes drafting complex legal analysis and writing for cases that include integrated circuit design and fabrication, wireless standards, graphical user interfaces, and encryption technologies. Professor Richards has served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy B. Dyk of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Honors and Affiliations

During law school, Professor Richards co-founded the Patent Law Reading Group at NYU to monitor recent developments in Patent Law from the Federal Circuit and Supreme Court.
