Reunion Class Gift

Celebrated every ten years, class reunions help alumni foster connections with classmates and the law school. As a part of the celebration, alumni are encouraged to commemorate their class and support the law school by making a class reunion gift.

A class gift drive is held each year leading up to the 5-year, 10-year, 20-year, 30-year, 40-year and 50-year.

What is a reunion gift?

All gifts and pledges made during the calendar year of your reunion (January 1-December 31) are counted toward your class gift totals each year. During a reunion year special emphasis is placed on building the level of support and participation from the class in recognition of the milestone a reunion year represents.

Reunion committees choose to set specific goals for their reunion year giving, such as 100% participation from the class, or a monetary goal. Each reunion committee may also decide upon a specific purpose for their class gift, like the creation and naming of an endowed scholarship or professorship. For example, the law school class of 1975 established the "Class of '75 Professorship" in 2000.
