Our recruiting programs offer an easy, effective and productive approach for hiring USD law students for semester or summer law clerk positions, clinical internship positions or post-bar and post-graduate employment.

February 11 - 26, 2019

Our Spring Recruiting Program is comprised of two different programs to connect you with qualified JD and LLM candidates.

  • ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWING
    • Our on-campus interview program enables you to interview several quality candidates in a short period of time on the date of your choice.
    • We collect and send student applications directly to your firm, coordinate student interview schedules, and provide complimentary breakfast and lunch on our beautiful campus.
    • This year our on-campus interviews run from February 11 to February 26, 2019.
    • Register as soon as possible to reserve the best interview slots.
  • RESUME COLLECT
    • If your busy schedule does not permit you to leave the office, our resume collect service provides a convenient way to receive all interested candidate applications at one time, allowing you to select and interview candidates at your office when your schedule allows.
  • DIRECT APPLICATIONS
    • if you prefer to evaluate candidates on a rolling basis, post your position directly on our job board and students will send their application materials to your organization via mail or email.

All three options allow you to pre-screen 100 percent of your interview candidates. You can select your preferred participation method when registering online.

Registration Instructions:

Please follow these instructions to register for Fall On-Campus Interviews (OCI) or Resume Collect Positions:

OCI:

  1. Log into #HireUSDLaw*
  2. Click "Register for OCI"
  3. Next to "OCI Round", select the recruitment program of your choice.
  4. Complete the registration form, providing a minimum of three acceptable interview dates.  We will make every effort to accommodate your first choice, but availability is limited. Click “Register.”
  5. You will then be prompted to post a Job Listing. Please complete the job listing form and click “Submit for Approval.” Your opportunity will not be visible to students until you complete this step.
 Resume Collect:
  
  1. Log into #HireUSDLaw*
  2. Click on OCI and Job Listings, click on “Post a Job”, and fill in your job information.
  3. Select the correct Resume Collect option and be sure to select “Apply via this Site” option. 
  4. When completed, hit the “Submit for Approval” button. Your opportunity will not be visible to students until you complete this step.

Post a Job:

  1. Log into #HireUSDLaw*
  2. Click on OCI and Job Listings, click on “Post a Job”, and fill in your job information and click the "Submit" button.
  3. You will recieve a "Job Posting Confirmed" email. 
  4. Once it is approved by our office, you will recieve a "Job Posting Request Approved" email. Your opportunity will not be visible to students until you vomplete this step.is step.

August 1 - September 8, 2018

Our Fall Recruiting Program is comprised of three different programs to connect you with qualified JD and LLM candidates.

  1. ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWING

    • This year our on-campus interviews run from August 1 - August 17, 2018 for NALP/Large/Medium Firms and August 22 - September 7, 2018 for Small Firms, Corporations, Public Interest and Government Agencies.
    • Register as soon as possible to reserve the best interview slots.
  2. RESUME COLLECT
    • If your busy schedule does not permit you to leave the office, our resume collect service provides a convenient way to receive all interested candidate applications at one time, allowing you to select and interview candidates at your office when your schedule allows.
  3. WRITE DIRECTLY
    • If you prefer to evaluate candidates on a rolling basis, our write directly program instructs students to send their application materials directly to your organization via mail or email.

USD Job Board

Our USD Job Board is a centralized online resource for employers providing students and alumni with direct, 24-hour access to your job opportunities. Posted job openings include internships, full-time positions, part-time positions or contract opportunities. There is no cost to post a job opportunity. More details on how to post a job.
