TA Positions
The Legal Writing and Research Program seeks applicants for Legal Writing and Research I and II Teaching Assistant positions during the academic year. Students who will be in their second, third or fourth year of law school are eligible to apply. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to sharpen research and writing skills, to increase familiarity with law library resources, to make a significant contribution to the legal education of first-year students and to develop a working relationship with a faculty member.
Specific responsibilities include attending Legal Writing and Research classes, evaluating research exercises, consulting with students during weekly office hours, helping to prepare research and writing assignments used in the first-year curriculum and attending practice and final oral arguments. We are looking for conscientious applicants with strong research and writing skills who are capable of communicating effectively with first-year students. These are paid positions for students with sufficient federal work-study funds. We accept applications through April for positions that start in the fall of that calendar year.
Please email completed applications to lwr@sandiego.edu or submit hard copies to Warren Hall 130.
