Welcome, Faculty, to USD! ITS provides a variety of technology hardware, software and web-based application to support faculty's needs in delivering highly engaging educational experiences, both in the classroom and online. This page is intended to provide an overview of the products, services, and support available to get faculty started using the technology and systems at USD.

We also encourage you to visit our Dell portal for personal computer options offered to the USD community. Get Started!

Follow these three steps to get started with accessing the University of San Diego systems.

USDOne

Step 1. Using your Banner ID, claim your USDOne account by visiting this link: https://usdone.sandiego.edu/app/#/register. You will use your USDOne login to access the portal, eMail (Google Mail), Blackboard Ole and many more services. 

MySanDiego Portal

Step 2. MySanDiego is the university’s portal, offering a variety of resources including: Your Course Listings, Find People, Academic Resources, News and Emergency information and more. To locate the portal, point your browser to the following address and log-in https://my.sandiego.edu.

Software Central

Step 3. ITS software Central team helps provide the University community with software licenses in the most cost efficient manner possible. For more information about qualifications and software titles, email at software@sandiego.edu or visit us online.


Get Started in Your Classroom

CSS provides a robust set of hardware and software choices to engage your students in and out of the classroom. Our Instructional Media Services team supports all the technology hardware deliver in your classroom and the Instructional Support and Training team support our Learning Management System, Blackboard. Below are two videos to familiarize yourself with the technology options available to you.

Tech in the Class

USD classrooms contain four different levels of technology. Every classroom is equipped with a video projector at a minimum while many have advanced features such as electric screens, sound systems, document cameras and wireless collaboration. This video will provide you with an in-depth look at how to use the technology available in your classroom. If you need to know the technology you have in your classroom, please reference the Classroom Technology Search functionality



Get Support

Information Technology Services provides a variety of training and support for both faculty and students. Our Client Support Help Desk, Instructional Media Services and Instructional Support and Training are available to address common questions to supporting custom projects or initiatives. Please feel free to reach out to our teams if you have any questions or learn more about the support we provide by navigating to our Teams sites.

Help Desk

Client Support Services consists of two primary support teams—the Desktop Technical Team and the ITS Help Desk. The Help Desk is the primary resource to contact if you have issues or concerns with technology on campus, and your single point of contact for any ITS question or request. 

Media Services and Classroom Technology

The Instructional Media Services (IMS) is available to support you in the use of the Classroom Technologies or provide filming and video editing support. If you would like training or more information on these services please contact IMS:

Learning Design Center

The Learning Design Center (LDC) provides comprehensive services which are available to all faculty members who utilize Blackboard as the delivery platform for their course materials whether they teach face-to-face, online or hybrid courses.

Faculty Support

The Faculty Support team is dedicated to providing specialty support for USD faculty members to enable effective use of technology in teaching.  Faculty Support provides assistance with speciality teaching software, complex Zoom/Panopto issues, and more.
