Student Process for Admittance to ITPP

Step 1

Early Application

  • Student completes an early application to be identified for an ITPP pathway while taking courses according to appropriate two-year academic plan.
  • Students will be advised of program conditions to be met for formal admission to USD.

Step 2

Take a Class at USD

  • Identified students take one class at USD at the community college tuition rate while enrolled at home SDCCD campus.
  • Depending on semester of planned start at USD, a student could take two classes, one in each of two semesters. At least one class will be an Education Credential Foundations class; the second could be a course in their major, or an additional Education class.

Step 3

Formal Application

  • Student completes the formal application to USD at the regularly scheduled time to become an admitted transfer student. The application deadlines are March 1st for Fall admission and October 1st for Spring admission.
  • Once accepted to USD, students complete internal SOLES undergraduate teaching credential program application and meet with their assigned academic advisor.
