In-Person International Orientation

This mandatory, in-person session for first-year and transfer students will review topics including: maintaining your student immigration status, navigating the U.S. healthcare system, how to transition successfully to the USD college environment, and important resources that can support your success.

Pre-Arrival Orientation

The following mandatory pre-arrival international orientation modules should be completed before arriving at USD. The modules can also be accessed by logging into iTorero and navigating to "Self-Paced Online Orientation" under the Admissions menu.

The online Orientation Program will consist of 3 modules:

  • Immigration 101
  • Health & Wellness
  • Succeeding in the USD Classroom

Please review these three modules and complete the accompanying quizzes to test your knowledge prior to arriving at USD.


New Torero Orientation for all Students

New Torero Orientation is USD's Ole Weekend for first-year & transfer students. This program allows you to meet your fellow classmates, connect with your faculty advisor, and prepare for your USD experience. The "Ole Weekend" orientation will take place after international orientation and is mandatory.
