Find Your Passion at the Two-Day Virtual Alcalá Bazaar

Interested in biology, advocating and supporting students with disabilities, desire to find a social atmosphere where guys develop a bond and leadership skills or, if you are a woman, are you are looking for a group where female students are looking out for each other?

Come to the Alcalá Bazaar to visit with representatives from the Biology Club, the Alliance of Disability Advocates, Alpha Tau Omega or Kappa Alpha Theta.

Maybe you want to learn more about a culture through its traditional dance and music? Or if you eat a plant-based diet and you want to find others who do, too? Looking to raise yourself in your faith? Maybe you have an interest in playing sports or want to root on your fellow Toreros?

At the Alcalá Bazaar, you can learn more about the Folklorico and Mariachi Association, the USD Herbivores, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship or join a USD club sports team or support Torero Athletics as USD Bull Pit member.

On Tuesday, Aug. 25, and Thursday, Aug. 27 between noon and 2 p.m. on Zoom, the Fall Alcala Bazaar, with more than 150 clubs, organizations, programs, interests and more, takes place with plenty of opportunities to be involved at the University of San Diego.

This is the first-ever virtual Alcalá Bazaar. It will be split into two days — Tuesday’s Bazaar will feature entrants connected to academics, fraternities/sororities and sports.

Thursday’s Bazaar will spotlight all Changemaker, multicultural, special interest and spiritual options.

Hosted by Associated Student Government and Student Activities and Involvement, they’ve put together an e-catalog with brief introductions and accompanying videos to some 130 organizations who’ll be represented.

Learn how you can enhance your USD student experience beyond the classroom and virtual classes to meet new people, find a new interest outside your comfort zone and maybe even discover something you are passionate about that can put you on a pathway to your future career.
