A portion of the room cost comes back to USD to support student scholarships, promote university events and marketing efforts, and create community awareness about the partnership. Free Tickets to USD Sporting Events (Home games, non-NCAA)

Faculty & Staff members receive free admission to all USD Athletic Events. A valid USD ID is required from all Faculty and Staff members in order to pick-up their ticket(s). Faculty and Staff are eligible for up to four tickets per sporting event. Admission is on a first-come, first served basis.

Retirement 403(b) Plan for all Benefit-Based Employees

The university provides all benefit-based employees with a 403(b) plan which is a Defined Contribution plan. A Defined Contribution plan is a retirement plan wherein a certain amount or percentage of money is set aside each year for the benefit of the employee. There are restrictions as to when and how you can withdraw these funds without penalties.

In order to assist you in planning for your retirement, representatives from TIAA-CREF and Fidelity are on campus regularly for individual counseling sessions. These sessions will provide you the opportunity to discuss your retirement goals and objectives, asset allocation and investment mix, and the tax advantages of saving through the university's 403 (b) plan.

Tuition Exchange

The University offers a Tuition Exchange Scholarship program to eligible children of faculty and staff employees. The program provides undergraduate scholarships to more than 600 participating institutions. Scholarships are not fringe benefits; they are competitive awards. In addition to meeting the admissions requirements of the receiving college/university, some members of the Tuition Exchange Program have additional requirements such as higher academic standards or limit awards to just a few new students each year. Tuition Remission

The tuition remission program continues the University’s tradition of encouraging and supporting the educational development of its employees, their spouses, registered domestic partners, dependent children and dependent children of registered domestic partners.

The tuition remission benefit is for tuition only at USD. Application fees, student body fees, parking fees and any other fees assessed to all students are the responsibility of the employee, spouse, registered domestic partner, dependent child, or dependent child of a registered domestic partner.

University Cashier's Office

Employees of USD may cash checks of up to $100 per day. The Cashier’s office is located in the Hughes Administration Center, Room 207.

University Center Ticket Office

The UC Ticket Office offers Students, Faculty and Staff discounted tickets for amusement parks, movies, public transportation and University sponsored concerts and events.

U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank offers a host of money saving benefits to campus customers and offers financial management training. It is located on the ground floor of the Hahn University Center in suite 125A. U.S. Bank has three ATM machines on campus, located outside on the west side of the Hahn University Center, Jenny Craig Pavilion, and La Paloma, Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice.
