Our national philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, creates awareness for heart disease, which is the #1 killer of women, and supports research and programs dealing with women's cardiac care and health. This fall semester, Alpha Phi is introducing a new philanthropy event called Cardiac Arrest. It will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, during dead hours on the lawn outside of Maher.

Description: Our "APhi PD" will be "arresting" well-connected, willing, and excited representatives around campus and placing them in our "jail" holding them for "bail" set at $100. When this fundraising goal is reached, the participant will be released. This may sound like a lot of money, but if each participant fundraises before hand and get their connections to chip in before or during the event, then they can be out of jail in no time! The first to be released will also receive a prize... TBD! All participants will be given shirts and free food, too!
