University Galleries

Drop Shadow

The University Galleries offer a unique opportunity for students in a wide variety of disciplines to have direct access to both historic and contemporary representations. Classes are encouraged not only to visit exhibitions once they are mounted, but to participate in the selection of programs, conduct independent research on collections, and pursue professional training through internships. Recent classes in the Department of Art, Architecture + Art History have offered students the rare opportunity to help the University Gallery acquire works of art for the permanent collection of prints.  Students who are interested in internship opportunities or who have special interest in becoming more involved in these programs should contact the Director of University Galleries Derrick R. Cartwright, PhD, before the start of any semester.
