The Career Development Center supports students in developing and achieving career goals that lead to meaningful lives. Guiding students as they explore majors and define purposeful career paths, teaching students how to articulate their strengths, and providing opportunities to build professional networks

The Center for Health and Wellness Promotion strives to increase students' knowledge, facilitate their motivation to change unhealthy behaviors related to alcohol and other drug (AOD) use, and to reduce the risk of personal and community harm secondary to AOD use. The Center for Health and Wellness Promotion provides individual clinical consultations, assessments, education, 12-step facilitation and support, and referrals to students.

Commuter Student Life aims to foster community among commuter and off-campus students by providing opportunities for students to engage in conversations and experiences that cross majors, disciplines, and identities.

The University of San Diego values and works to provide resources for those directly affected by changes to immigration policy or enforcement. USD further aims to contribute to the ongoing national dialogue on immigration and its impact on USD and other higher education institutions. If you identify as a DACAmented student, undocumented student, or an ally of these students, you can find up-to-date information as well as resources on the National Dialogue on Immigration webpage.

Dr. Nunn teaches largely in the Department of Sociology’s Social Justice concentration. Her research areas include: Sociology of Education; Organizations; Cultural Sociology; Gender and Sexuality; Identity; Visual Sociology; and Social Psychology. She also serves as the Faculty Liason for the First-Generation Action Team.

Graduate Student Life at the University of San Diego aims to foster (1) community building by providing opportunities for graduate students to build community and fostering conversations and collaboration across disciplines, (2) communication by promoting existing campus services to students and helping departments share ideas on how to best serve graduate students, (3) advocacy by growing and maintaining a graduate student presence on campus, encouraging services to be more inclusive of graduate students, and conducting regular assessments of graduate student quality of life.

The USD Military & Veterans Program provides student-focused services to all USD military-connected students, from their initial consideration of higher education (Access), through services when they are enrolled as students (Support) and in their transition to alumni status (Connect). USD MVP services enhance military and veteran students’ abilities to achieve their higher education and career goals, effectively, from a quality institution, while using their benefits as efficiently as possible.

Student Support Services is jointly funded by the U.S. Department of Education and the University of San Diego to serve eligible undergraduates at USD. The program provides opportunities for academic development, assists with college requirements, and serves to retain and motivate students towards the successful completion of their post-secondary education at USD.

The mission of the Torero Renaissance Scholars (TRS) is to provide support and resources to the students at the University of San Diego who identify as former foster youth, homeless (or at risk for homelessness), students who were emancipated minors or in legal guardianships. Services include:

• Monthly luncheons with other foster students and staff
• Mentoring
• Support for year-round housing assistance
• Support finding, and maintaining scholarships
• Leadership opportunities
• Help finding work-study positions
• Supplemental Academic counseling
• Registration and enrollment assistance
