TLS is hosting a panel of tax lawyers who work in various tax practice areas. The panel consists of two Big Law Partners and the Chief Counsel of the California Office of Tax Appeals (OTA). Join us to hear advice and ask questions about working in tax law!

- Laura Buckley (Partner, Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP) practices Bankruptcy, Insolvency, Reorganization, and Tax Law.
- Shane Shelley (Partner, Morrison & Foerster LLP) practices Global Tax, U.S. Federal Tax, Corporate Finance | Capital Markets, Real Estate, Derivatives + Commodities, Liability Management, Structured Products.
- Kristen Kane (Chief Counsel, California Office of Tax Appeals) was appointed chief counsel for the Office of Tax Appeals, by Governor Brown on October 2, 2017. Ms. Kane earned a Master of Laws degree in taxation and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
