The Ahlers Center for International Business welcomes Rick Loughery, vice president of global marketing and communications at GoPro, to discuss GoPro’s evolution and how the company is adapting to address growth opportunities ahead.

GoPro revolutionized the action sports camera scene when it introduced its first product back in the early 2000s. Since then, the company has amassed impressive global brand awareness, with sales in more than 100 countries and a massive following of passionate GoPro users. How does a California-grown company known for capturing action sports adventures maintain its core identity, while expanding its customer base beyond action sports enthusiasts?

Rick Loughery has been with GoPro for over 10 years, joining the company full-time as its 13th employee. In his current role, he works with his team of regional marketing leaders to craft locally relevant strategies that stay consistent with the overall global marketing plan. Prior to GoPro, Mr. Loughery co-founded Three-Forty Communications which worked with early-stage technology companies such as Yelp and Fitbit.

This event is open to the public
