Details
The Kroc School’s Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) at the University of San Diego is pleased to invite you to the 2019 Women PeaceMaker Panel. Learn from and with this year's Women PeaceMakers about the powerful role women play in negotiating peace. The panel provides the opportunity for San Diego to build a deeper understanding around the groundbreaking strategies women use to bring governments, armed groups and communities affected by violence together to decide how to end war.
The 2019 Women PeaceMakers — Ruth Buffalo (from the United States), Mossarat Qadeem (from Pakistan), Lilian Riziq (from South Sudan) and Rina Kedem (from Israel) — are extraordinary leaders who have been involved in some of the world's most historic peace processes.
This year’s cohort of WomenPeaceMakers arrive at the Kroc School on October 5 and stay until November 16, 2019. During their residency, they will conduct research alongside Kroc IPJ, guest lecture in the Kroc School’s peace and justice classes, and share their peacebuilding work at the Women PeaceMakers Panel on November 5, 2019.
