Passage of cyber laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act require lawyers to make informed decisions about “reasonable cybersecurity,” and technologists to understand the legal risk for failing to comply. The importance of hybrid cyber professionals and collaboration across organizations is critically important. This one day Symposium will explore the intersection of cyber and law by offering comprehensive and thoughtful panels on managing vendor cyber risk, assessing and calculating cyber risk, understanding “reasonable security,” developing defensible security programs, learning from global comparative cyber laws, participating in a cyber-law roundtable, conversing with law enforcement (including FBI, Secret Service, District Attorney and California Attorney General’s Office), and observing a live data breach and incident response. Learn from world thought-leaders on the future of cyber law, network with peers, and develop skills as a hybrid cyber professional. Cyber Law Attendance Certificates will be provided to attendees.
