Details

Alice Ripley — actor, singer, songwriter, and recording artist — will sing a selection of songs that have been banned within the last century. She is known for her extensive work on Broadway, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock opera, Next to Normal, for which she earned the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She is also known for her work in television (Girlboss), and film (Sugar! - for which she earned three different film acting awards in 2016). In addition to her Tony Award, Ripley received the Helen Hayes for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, for Next to Normal, which played at Arena Stage, prior to its Broadway opening.
