In this workshop and interactive exhibition, learn about extinct species and the broader implications of extinction for the environment, humans and nonhuman species. Participants are introduced to cross stitch as a mindful practice and will start an extinct species cross stitch project to take home. This event is designed for guests to examine perspectives on extinction as stand-alone losses and consider a more holistic view. Dr. Recart González is diversity postdoctoral faculty in the Department of Biology at USD.
