This panel presentation will discuss questions that arise when we teach in culturally and linguistically diverse settings. How might our pedagogies better support multilingual writers? How might our pedagogies foster agency and equity for all students, especially those for whom cultural and/or linguistic duality is a unique asset? How can we be sure that our pedagogical choices recognize the ethical and political realities of reading and writing in the twenty-first century?

Lunch Provided!

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will learn how pedagogies:

  • Support multilingual writers
  • Foster agency and equity for all students

Facilitated by Dr. Bicho Azevedo, Assistant Professor of Spanish, Dr. Atreyee Phukan, Associate Professor of English and Program Director of Interdisciplinary Humanities, and Dr. Amanda Moulder, Assistant Professor of English.
