Due to illness, Natalia Toledo will not be present. Students will read her Zapotec poetry.
 
Music by Cuezpallin Rodríguez, Poetry reading by USD Students.
Cuezpallin Rodríguez is an transdisciplinary artist who for more than a decade has collaborated with organizations, native artists, traditional healers and cultural activists from different indigenous groups in Mexico and the US. He has developed multiple methodologies for artistic creation, among them the reproduction of ancient melodies for introspection. Cuezpallin will explain the origins of ancient instruments and sounds.
Pan de muerto and coffee will be served.
 
This event is part of Día de Muertos: Ancestral Tradition and Cultural Transformation Across Borders - Weeklong Celebration of Art, Community and Memory on October 28 to November 1.
