This workshop is part of the "Building Your Toolkit for Student-Centered Course Design" series. Complete the entire series and receive a certificate of completion for your portfolio. Attend three or more workshops and receive a book on teaching and learning.

Workshop Description:

Do you want to increase the efficacy and usefulness of your program-level assessment? Constructing a strong rubric will help!

• Do you need to design or revise a rubric for an upcoming program assessment?
• Are you uncertain about how rubrics can help you collect meaningful information?

This workshop is designed to help you develop rubrics to assess program learning outcomes. It also explains the purpose of rubrics in the assessment process. Bring a learning outcome that your program plans to assess, an example assignment, and/or an old rubric that needs updating and we will help you with rubric writing. You will leave the session with a well-crafted and reliable rubric!
