Christopher Adler, khaen

For two decades, Christopher Adler has been the world's leading innovator in creating and performing new music for the Lao/Northeast Thai free-reed mouth organ, khaen. On this new recital, Dr. Adler will present four world premieres of new compositions, including a new duo with harpist Tasha Smith Godínez. The composers featured are emerging voices from around the world, including Yu Kuwabara from Japan, Vera Ivanova from Los Angeles, and H. James Harkins who is based in China.
