“PrAna: Supporting International Business Growth through Social Responsibility”

Supporting international business growth is at the core of social responsibility.  As an apparel brand located in the U.S. but extending operations globally, PrAna is working to dynamically change the industry through their social programs.  By partnering with organizations such as Fair Trade and Fair Labor Association (FLA), they aim to reshape the global apparel industry through improved working conditions.  Raise people up and change the system.  This won’t happen overnight, thus, PrAna aims for progress not perfection.  They have focused their efforts on the materials used to make their products, the processes to get their products to market, and the people who make the products.  Their perspective may be ambitious, but how can you change the world without big aspirations?

Rachel Lincoln is a sustainable business strategist, connecting product, process and sustainability strategy within apparel brands.  Over the last 10 years at PrAna living, a Southern California apparel brand rooted in sustainability, Ms. Lincoln has driven the implementation of bluesign® certified products, helped to launch Fair Trade Certified products, and been an instrumental contributor to the company’s double digit growth.
