Supply chains are dependent on excelling at every step of the process -- from sourcing, to making, and ultimately delivering goods and services. As with any process, the first step is often the most critical since everything that follows is impacted by it. This is true for the supply management component of supply chain management, in particular sourcing and procurement, which continues to evolve more quickly -- and with more complexity and risk -- than ever before. As new enabling technologies are developed and global trade policies change, professionals in this field need to be prepared to adapt and implement the latest ideas and solutions. Ineffective and/or inefficient sourcing and procurement strategies will have negative consequences to overall supply chain performance.

Each fall, the Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI) welcomes roughly 200 attendees from 50+ companies, as well as USD students and faculty. Together, we have an opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in our industry. In just one day, you will hear great speakers from well-known and respected companies, while also having the opportunity to choose from a variety of interactive breakout sessions, each led by subject matter experts.

To provide your organization with the tools necessary for continued success, SCMI has assembled some of the most progressive minds in the area of sourcing and procurement, to provide visionary insights into how they are meeting their future challenges and how they see sourcing and procurement practices evolving in the years to come.

Through a series of keynote presentations, panels, and interactive workshops, the SCMI Fall Forum will provide you with a deeper understanding of the emerging sourcing and procurement trends, while providing valuable insights and takeaways on where you should be directing your attention over the next several years.
