Whether you're a policy wonk, a happy hour fan, or just want to learn about local San Diego issues, we invite you to join us for Wednesday Wine & Wonks on August 29 at 4pm.

The San Diego Taxpayers Educational Foundation, in partnership with the University of San Diego and the Harvard Kennedy School Community of San Diego, is excited to kick off its first informal, no-host happy hour discussion series.


Featured Speaker for August

Mary M. Lydon is executive director for Housing You Matters, a San Diego broad based, nonpartisan coalition focused on lowering the cost of building homes in the San Diego region. Mary has 25 years of experience in Smart Growth land use planning, real estate markets, community and stakeholder participation, and economic development strategies. She has worked with private-sector developers, public-sector agencies, and nonprofit organizations. She is a former Planning Commissioner and Stadium Advisory Group member for the City of San Diego and has held key leadership roles within the Urban Land Institute, the Downtown San Diego Partnership and several nonprofit boards over her career. Mary attended Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and completed the Executive Leadership Program in 2010.
