San Diego Electric Rate Projection Model

Sponsor

San Diego Consumers Action Network and NRG Energy, Inc.

Summary

EPIC recently released a a publicly–available model that projects the effect that a range of pending public policy measures would have on electricity rates. The model, which was developed by a team of leading California energy consultants, calculates changes in rates due to increased renewable energy use, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, and distributed solar photovoltaics, among other variables. It allows users to change many of the inputs and to test the effect of different combinations of policies. A sample of the model output are shown below.

This research was supported by NRG Energy and the Utility Consumer's Action Network (UCAN).

Please provide your name and email address to access the file. We will not sell or use your contact information for any purpose other than notifying you about changes to the tool. Thank you!
