2020 Engineering & Computing Expo

WELCOME TO THE 2020 ENGINEERING & COMPUTING EXPO
Thank you for joining USD's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering & Computing Virtual Expo. We invite you to experience our students' innovative Capstone Design Projects presented in a virtual, interactive poster format by graduating seniors in Computer Science and Electrical, Integrated and Mechanical Engineering. Various simulation projects will be presented by graduating seniors in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Team Presentations
With nearly thirty Capstone Design Projects and Simulations Projetcs to visit at the 2020 Engineering & Computing Expo, we have divided the presentations into five navigational links based on Project Categories. The main rooms for each Project Category Zoom Link will be hosted by Capstone Design instructors and will feature 3-9 teams who are each assigned to their own private breakout rooms. The instructors and staff will help guide you through the presentation spaces.
A sixth Zoom link is available for Guest Services, which is designed to help guests locate specific students or project teams and answer navigational questions throughout the event. There are no presentations in this optional, virtual space. The event officially opens on Friday, November 6th at 2:30 p.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m. The six links below will be available the morning of the event, starting at 8:00 a.m., and will go live at 2:30 p.m.
NAVIGATING THE EVENT
Choose as many teams as you like to visit over the course of the two and a half hour event. It's easy to navigate by clicking the links on this landing page. Simply use the team listings below to select which team you wish to join. Next, click on the associated Project Category Zoom Link. Upon entering that main room, the faculty or staff member will assign you to your team of choice and you are on your way! You have the opportunity to move from one breakout room to another within a given main room. When you wish to visit a different Project Category Zoom Link, leave the Zoom session you are in, select and click on the next Project Category Room Zoom Link of your choice, and you are free to interact with the teams in that new space.
Don't worry... if you are new to the Zoom environment or you get "lost", any faculty or staff host will be happy to help — and there's always the Guest Services Room. We are here to make this a great experience for all of our participants and attendees!
