Entrepreneurship Projects
The University of San Diego's Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering is developing an innovative entrepreneurial mindset that infuses the ideas of curiosity, connections and creating value with broader innovative thinking in the classroom and ultimately in the workplace. Through the entrepreneurship track in senior design, students work on an engineering problem with an eye towards entrepreneurship. In addition to the standard engineering design cycle, students are asked to consider the business implications of their idea. Students work with external mentors who have experience with starting new ventures and are required to make several pitches throughout the academic year.
