Melissa Gibbons, PhD is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at University of San Diego. She received her MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from University of Miami. Prior to joining University of San Diego, she worked as a Senior Research Engineer at L3 Technologies. Her research interests include biomechanics, injury prediction and prevention, and developing finite element models.
