Bridging academia and applied solutions.

The University of San Diego Center for CyberSecurity Engineering and Technology's (CCSET) affiliated faculty and scholars engage in a wide array of research activities at the unclassified and classified levels. The initial focus includes trusted systems and standards, and proven verifiable protection of high assurance security designed to substantially address the problems of adversarial attacks that include software subversion. USD's CCSET creates a bridge between the academic discoveries and the applied solutions that matter most to operational stakeholders. We take on current large-scale security issues involving industrial control systems (ex. SCADA), highly distributed systems (e.g. cloud), social networks, as well as other emerging contexts... the failure of which have the potential of wreaking massive damage to the well-being, safety and privacy of the people of our nation. USD's CCSET welcomes the inclusion of government, industry, academic and civic collaboration on all research.
